Air conditioner efficiency is rated by SEER - Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio
The minimum mandated SEER2 rating currently is 13.4 and the top rated models range up to 28. To be considered Energy Star Rated an unit must achieve a SEER2 rating of >15.2.

How Much Can I Save?
